Steven Snyder
Bernard Lee interviews Steven Snyder, who recently finished runner-up at the 2021 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Main Event and earned nearly $900,000. The event had 2,482 entries which is the largest WPT Main Event in history.
Steven Snyder, a North Carolina native, discusses how he was first introduced to poker during the Moneymaker Effect and playing in local home games and sit n go’s online. Steven recalls going to casinos across the country and how his first big win (for $40,000) in 2013 jumped started his full-time poker career.
Steven discusses the early days of his poker career which led to his three WSOP Circuit rings, including his 2016 WSOP Harrah’s Cherokee Circuit Main Event victory, and his first WSOP bracelet final table. Steven also discusses why, unfortunately, last year was the worst year of his life: professionally and personally. Steven decided to work on himself and entered 2021 with a new mental focus.
